We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer.<\/p>\n<p>This role provides design, development, and production release of products and custom solutions for the transportation industry. This position involves a significant amount of new platform and design work. We offer a hybrid working model balancing office time with working from home.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A DAY IN THE LIFE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design of mechanical components and assemblies.<\/li>\n<li>Generate concepts for Midtronics products<\/li>\n<li>3D modeling and design for manufacturing (DFM)<\/li>\n<li>Modify existing 3D models<\/li>\n<li>Create mechanical engineering design specifications<\/li>\n<li>Perform both new product development and product maintenance activities<\/li>\n<li>Create 2D drawings, check and release<\/li>\n<li>Validate samples and products<\/li>\n<li>Follow internal operating procedures and standards<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to schedules for mechanical design projects<\/li>\n<li>Create and maintain proper mechanical component validation &amp; documentation<\/li>\n<li>Create and issue Product Change Notifications<\/li>\n<li>Participate in design teams and owning product outcomes<\/li>\n<li>Working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the work product exceeds expectations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>REQUIRED:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BS in Mechanical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>3+ years of experience in 3D mechanical design of injection-molded, sheet metal, and or machined parts<\/li>\n<li>3+ years of experience using SolidWorks design software<\/li>\n<li>Experience\/knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques, mold design &amp; tooling, and production processes<\/li>\n<li>Skilled in integrating electronic components into mechanical assemblies<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in designing or specifying cables and connectors<\/li>\n<li>Experience creating detailed engineering drawings<\/li>\n<li>Adept at processing ECOs\/ECNs within a PLM or ERP system<\/li>\n<li>Hands on mentality with the ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PREFFERED:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ years\u2019 experience in electromechanical product design and development<\/li>\n<li>Successful demonstration of full scope product development projects, owning and driving a project to completion as the lead engineer.<\/li>\n<li>Expertise of SolidWorks design software<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>Interesse?<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>#VLSG<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> verzorgt de werving &amp; selectie voor deze positie namens <\/span><b>Midtronics<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
