(Sr) Technical Project Manager

Midtronics is always on the lookout for talented professionals. Our Technical Project Manager—not a traditional PM, but a hybrid technical leader will drive the technical front of our most strategic automotive projects (12V and EV), while contributing 30–40% of time toward project coordination, planning, and stakeholder alignment.

You are someone who has a strong engineering background, enjoys working hands-on with products, customers, and cross-functional teams.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

• Serve as the technical lead on customer-facing projects while providing partial project management ownership.
• Translate customer requirements into technical solutions using Midtronics products.
• Communicate technical details clearly to both engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide expert-level guidance on 12V and EV battery solutions to customers and internal teams.
• Lead or support product demonstrations and deliver compelling technical presentations to customers, decision-makers, and partners.
• Collaborate with engineering and supply chain teams to design, customize, and deliver scalable hardware/software solutions.
• Identify and evaluate technical risks, dependencies, and constraints throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in technical training efforts for sales staff and partners.
• Represent Midtronics at industry trade shows, customer meetings, and events.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum of 3–5+ years of experience in technical project management or engineering leadership.
• Nice to have: Strong foundation in hardware and software development, including embedded systems or automotive electronics.
• Hands-on experience working with supply chain teams in a product delivery environment.
• In-depth understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and all phases of the product design lifecycle.
• Proven experience presenting executive leadership and communicating complex project statuses and decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional initiatives.
• Leadership experience in guiding cross-functional teams, managing vendors, and supporting global customer engagements.
• A bias for ownership—gathering feedback, aligning goals, and driving consensus across multiple stakeholders.
• Familiarity with the automotive industry is highly preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to translate complex engineering concepts into clear, customer-facing language.
• Proficiency in technical documentation and solution design presentations.
• Willingness to travel for customer visits, trade shows, and strategic business meetings.
